Embrace the Process Shirts

The 2019 Football T-shirts are out.  We have them in stock.  Attached is a picture front and back.  We did things a little different this year.  We went with a higher quality shirt, removed all of the corporate sponsorship from the back, which results in a nice light weight ring spun shirt.  We also wanted to get them out as the weather starts to warm up.

1 shirt is $15

2 or more shirts are $12.50 each.

Some of you may have seen them on social media already.  Keep in mind Hudsonville Football has a twitter and Facebook page.  Please follow us there as well.

The shirts are at my house and can we can fill orders as we still have sizes.  Our hope is to have to re-order.  Please email Tricia Vredeveld at   to place an order.

If you are paying with a check, please make it payable to HHS Football Boosters.

Thank you,

Pete Vredeveld

Heads Up Concussion Training

Parents and Coaches,
Effective July 1, 2013, the state of Michigan has adopted a "Sports Concussion Law".  All players must complete this form: http://michigan.gov/documents/mdch/Parentandathleteinfosheet_415328_7.pdf and give to their coaches as soon as possible.

A brief explanation of the law is as follows:

A concussion is a brain injury, caused by a blow, bump or jolt to the head that can have serious consequences. It can occur in any sport or recreational activity.

Michigan was the 39th U.S. state to enact a law that regulates sports concussions and return to athletic activity.  The law goes into full effect on June 30th, 2013.

The sports concussion legislation requires all coaches, employees, volunteers, and other adults involved with a youth athletic activity to complete a concussion awareness on-line training program.

More information can be found here: http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/0,4612,7-132-54783_63943---,00.html

Coaches also need to complete an online training course which can be found here: http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/Training/index.html

Equipment Needed
HYF provides players with jerseys.

Teams will generally buy socks.

Players need to provide a helmet, mouthguard (not white or clear), cleats, shoulder pads, padded football pants, and often a supply of water for themselves.
